Scholarships and Student Loans
Help offset the rising costs of school with one of fifteen $2,000 NCPA Foundation Presidential Scholarships or the J.C. and Rheba Cobb Memorial Scholarship. NCPA Foundation student loans can make your life during and after pharmacy school a lot easier. The loan maximum has been increased to $2500 per semester.

Information
NCPA's periodicals and Web site are just the place to get the story on the real world of pharmacy.

    • America's Pharmacist, NCPA's award-winning monthly magazine.

    • The New Independent, the newsletter specifically for pharmacy students.

    • eNews Weekly, the once-a-week e-mail news service designed to provide NCPA members with the week's top headlines in independent community pharmacy.

Student members also have access to the NCPA Members Only section of NCPA's Web site.

Reduced Meeting Registration Fees
NCPA is proud to provide a greatly reduced registration fee to pharmacy student members to attend the Annual Convention and Legislative Conference. NCPA's annual convention offers a full slate of student programming, in-depth disease state management certificate programs, as well as pharmacy management, pharmacist care, and other programs. The legislative conference gives attendees the inside story on the forces that shape our profession. These meetings are a MUST ATTEND for students interested in pharmacy ownership and taking control of their career. Check out our calendar of upcoming NCPA meetings.

Student Chapters
Many pharmacy students across the nation participate in a wide variety of pharmacy-related activities organized by NCPA Student Chapters. See if your school already has an NCPA Student Chapter. Contact chapter representatives to learn how you can benefit from membership in NCPA. If your school doesn't have a chapter yet, here's your chance to demonstrate leadership and make a solid contribution to your peers and to the profession: Start a new NCPA Student Chapter!

Chapter of the Year
Each year, NCPA's most exemplary student chapter is awarded $2,000. First, second, and third runners-up receive $1,000, $500, and $250, respectively.

Regional and National Leadership Opportunities
NCPA has developed a section devoted entirely to pharmacy students. It is called NCPA-Pharmacy Student Entrepreneur Section (NCPA-PSES). This is your chance to interact with the independent pharmacists who lead NCPA and the profession. Interested applicants must be present at convention to apply, and applications are due January 15. We are looking for eight students to serve two-year terms, the first as a member of the NCPA Student Regional Council (SRC) and the second as a member of the NCPA Student Leadership Council (SLC). Meet the current leaders, see the map of the NCPA Student Regions, and learn how to apply.

NCPA Summer Internship
Discover the fast-paced life of policy-making, professional and third-party affairs, membership services, and more at NCPA's headquarters in our nation's capital. We would like you to apply to serve on the SRC if you're interested in this internship. See the Regional and National Leadership Opportunities for more information about our leadership positions.

NCPA Elective Experiential Rotation
Here's an opportunity to work inside the only national association representing independent community pharmacy, NCPA. You'll gain an understanding of the importance of a national pharmacy association to the profession and become more aware of the vast opportunities in independent community pharmacy practice.

NCPA Executive Residency in Association Management
This program is a springboard into a career of association work that will provide you with distinction as a future leader in the health care field.
